Counselling gives you an opportunity to talk through your emotions, where your voice will be heard. It gives you a safe place to explore the challenges you may be struggling with and help you to make sense of them and find a new way forward.
Counselling is not about the therapist telling you what to do or giving advice, it is about you and your experiences of your life. Our sessions will be led by you, with my help and support.
Together we will travel on your journey, at your pace, looking and exploring your thoughts and emotions, as well as looking into your response to yourself and others during these challenging times.
By looking at your behaviour and beliefs helps to give us an understanding of why you respond in a certain way. We can look at this by exploring your life’s history and gain an understanding of how past events effect you today.
We can then see whether these responses you learnt in your past are helping you today.
By understanding your behaviours and acknowledging the ones that no longer help you, enables you to let go of them and together we can find different perspectives and find a better and more beneficial way forward.
